They get water baptized into their church, not as a symbol of being born again. The old man is dead, the new in Christ alive forever more.
Being born of water is what happens when we are born into this world (water sack). The 1st man is born flesh the 2nd man is born spiritually. Born again is reborn spiritually, inheriting Christ Kingdom. Becoming children born of God.

I wonder the same thing since it says that in the very Bible they read.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Mormons practice the same superstitious ritual of baptism as other christians, implying a washing away of sins and a rebirth into a new life.

They also believe that to "inherit everlasting life" they must participate in certain rituals in Mormon temples, which include learning secret passwords and handshakes, and making signs showing various ways life can be taken (such as cutting throats and disemboweling) if they reveal the secrets given to them in the temple. They also believe that one day they will be gods just like *our* god, and they'll get their own planet to rule over, make spirit babies with their multiple wives, and get to run their "earth" just like our "god" runs ours.

Of course, there's no evidence of any kind that any of this is actually real -- just like there's no evidence of any kind that any christian sect's beliefs are actually real. I wouldn't go too far in disparaging Mormons for their beliefs, when mainstream christianity is already full of superstitious myth based on the oral traditions of ancient hebrew goat herders... :)

I thought they did.....

They do have some beliefs that are much different than Christianity... But the last I knew they believed you had to give your heart to God and isn't that the same thing as being born again?

They do. To be born again, as Christ taught, was to be born of water and the spirit. Meaning, baptism by water and by the Holy Spirit. Mormons believe this.
They believe, however, that salvation is a process. Unlike other religions, you can't pin-point a date and time you were "born again". They see being born of the spirit as something that takes time, sacrifice, and a lot of God's grace, not something that happens at one moment. The sanctification of the spirit continually cleanses from sin and directs ones path toward heaven.

They do believe in professing faith in Jesus Christ as their savior and being baptized. They just don't call it being "born again" That's a christian fundie term...
Try actually reading up on a religion and maybe talking to people of that religion before posting ignorant Q's about said religion...

We don't call it being born again, but we do it for the reasons you stated. We believe in and follow the Bible.

Mormons do not believe in being "born again" in the biblical sense because they deny the diety of Jesus Christ, which in turm makes Mormonism a false religion.
Jesus Christ was AND IS God.
