Vaccines are a preventative method that is given BEFORE you get sick, in order to prevent you from catching a disease before it's in your body. They are usually made from inactive and non-infectious versions of the disease, tricking your body into making antibodies to fight the contagion so that your body will have a natural resistance.

Antibiotics are chemicals that are given after you're already infected with a bacterial disease. The antibiotics are designed to kill the infection with as little side efffects to your body as possible.

A vaccine is an inactive virus of the disease you are getting the vaccine against. Its purpose is to stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies for the actual virus, so that when you come in contact with said disease you will no longer get it because your body already knows how to fight it on its own.
An antibiotic is a medicine you take when you have the disease and your body cannot fight it. It consists of specific substances that are intended for killing a certain kind of virus.

A vaccine is designed to build an immunity to a virus. An antibiotic is administered to someone who has a bacterial infection. Each is used for a specific purpose. Just as antibiotics will not help with viruses, and vaccines can only help, if administered, for a specific virus.

With a vaccine part of the actual virus (sometimes dead, sometimes alive) is injected into your body so your body can build up antibodies against it. An antibiotic kills infections caused by bacteria.

Antibiotic is usually for a bacteria, and it either attacks the cell or lysis takes place (cell wall breaks down)...Vaccine, is for Virus's and prevention of infection/disease, it contains a bit of the "bad stuff" so your immune system can recognise it, and will know how to fight the future disease!
