You can't train a cat to stay in a bed. It will decide where it wants to sleep. You could try to put the bed in a dark, quiet place and see if that makes a difference but I doubt it. I have spent a fortune over the years on fancy nice cat beds and I have never had one that used any of them. I always end up giving them to shelters.

Are you putting the bed on the floor? Most cats prefer to sleep up higher - it makes them feel safe. Try putting the bed up on top of a piece of furniture - on the dresser, or on a chair. Then put something with your scent in it, like a used pillowcase or soft t-shirt. Don't try to put her in it - cats like to discover and investigate things at their own pace. Just leave it there for a few days, and let her decide to use it when she's ready. Once you find the right place for it, you'll probably come in and find her nestling there - but it has to be her idea!

I've never bought my cats a bed for the simple fact that they like to sleep where they want to sleep and what I have to say in the matter makes absolutely no difference! You may just have a cat that wants to sleep anywhere but in the foam bed. Try keeping it around for a while, and don't push her to sleep on it. She may eventually take to it. If she likes to sleep in a certian spot on the couch, or your bed, or wherever, try putting it there to see if she will lay on it.
Good luck! :)

After you get dressed in the morning, take the pajama top you wore all night (this will have a lot of your scent on it), turn it inside out, and lay in out flat in the bed. Then, show kitty the bed and place a few of her favorite snacks in the bed. Don't force her to get in the bed or else she may get scared of it. After a few days of her laying on your pj top in the bed, you can probably remove it. BUT-before you put it in the laundry, rub it all over the bed. Now it will have your scent plus kitties scent.

Put some catnip on the bed and she might like it. That's what I did with my cats and their new bed.
