Ya know, just last night I got on some fundementals for going on the science section and mocking evolution without facts (well, correct ones anyway) and I told them that they should get the facts and then mock away, it would make them more convincing.
Now, here you come, with no understanding of why Christians believe what they believe and try to insult/mock their faith.
Who is worse?
OK, if your faith stipulates an all powerful creator, then all things are possible. He may have created the earth 5400 years ago with the evidence that it was billions of years old. If he is all powerful, that would be easy for him to do.
One thing the christians have and that is faith, they believe that they are right and that their God can do anything, including create a world with fossils and other evidence in it. Your facts will not change their minds.
You may try to tell them what you (and, incidently, I) believe to be factual, but don't expect miralces (I never do).
And, if you are going to make fun/mock them, they will turn a deaf ear to you, so all you are really doing is trying to cause trouble.
There is a place in this world for science and religion, in fact it was a priest who first suggested thepossibilty of a Big Bang (he was working off the works of Einstein and Hubble and did not call it the Big Bang).
Science and religion can co-exist if people of faith try to accept that mans attempts to understand the universe is as strong as their attempts to understand God. In fact, it may be the same thing. I sure as heck don't know. . .

The problem with Christian monotheism is that God is separated from nature by his transcendent form even though the religion also admits his immanence, that he is also present on the earth. He is a separate God who is above and beyond the natural laws, so there is a disconnect for Christians who cannot identify the Lord with the natural processes such as evolution

I am a Christian Pastor and have no problem with evolution.
I believe that man is still evolving.
I don't have a problem with dinosaurs, or the earth being several billion or whatever years old.
The BIBLE IS NOT the history of the world, it is the HISTORY of GOD'S attempts to reconcile man and GOD.
It is a record of the Jewish people and their struggles and GODS redemption.
I do however believe that GOD created man and everything else.

For some reason, they prefer creationists sources rather than scientific sources to find out about evolutionary science.
Rather like going to McDonald's website to learn about brain surgery.

Basically... where are all the missing links? Not only the missing links of man, but the missing link that shows birds were once lizards or any other creature came from a completely different kind. (Not changes within a kind but a completely different creature)
