He could be crazy or smart as a fox. Depending on the state you live, if you and your ex lived together for a length in time and meet certain criteria, you could be considered common law married. You don't state if the boy is his son or not, but my guess he wants visitation with the boy. As to obtaining a restraining order, he has not done anything to warrant one.

Though a relationship that produces son could not be regarded as mere or mistake type because it goes a long way to do this.
Since you are now separated, it need to be sealed with a court divorce proceeding. If not yet, you better get one at least for the sake of your son. Or do you want him to make the same flaw like yours?
In other to keep your ex - boyfriend at bay so as to enable you face the future challenges positively, it is better to get a court restraining order at least till the boy reach adult age and could decide what he want in live.
Anyway, the choice is yours to stay in peace with your son or continue in this kind of illegality.

Do you have proof you were not married...did you ever sign your name with his last name? If he has proof and you do not get child support but then you will have to give him rights to the child also. Or is he trying to get you to pay allamoney to him? He will never leave you alone, unless you have proof he is not the boys father and you were never married. Just telling him does not work only makes them mad. Give him enought time...he will mess up...they always do. Just be ready when it does you will only have one shot of taking him out of your life.
My friends sons father did not want to give their son his last name. He just wanted to stay at her parents house with out a job, or a car...well that did not happen...when he was kicked out he went to his ex girlfriends house. They have 3 kids together matter a fact one is only 4 months older...you see what i mean. Has never got the kid anything and he is 2.5years old. She does not need his help, and the baby forsure does not need Jessie in his life but ...He calls somethime but when she ask for money he has none and stops calling...so ask for money everytime you see him even when you do not need it. It's a fact men hate to give up their money, but will take yours in a heart beat.

probably not.And unfortunatly for crazy guys like that restraining orders DO NOT work. Beleive me i was in that kinda relationship. But you never know.Just stick to your guns.....Always be around another person cuz you never know if he will try to come and hurt you or your child.Im sure after a while if hes not on jail from breaking the restraining order he wouldve found someone else and moved on to another obsession.

No. And should he really? I don't know everything that went on here. Why exactly did you two break up?
He won't leave you alone because you have his son.

Get a restraining order immediately and make sure the local police are aware of this guy. He sounds potentially dangerious and his behavior can be deemed stalking.

don't respond to any of his calls or letters or emails. Then if he comes to your house. Don't answer the door, call the police immediately and get a restraining order. This will not stop if you continue to give him attention.

Call the police if he keeps bothering you. Don´t accept his behaviour or his exuses. You know him and only you can tell if he will ever leave you alone unless you call the police
