Sounds like apthous ulcers (aka canker sores). They can be caused from ingesting too much acid (Orange juice, tomatoes, strawberries), injury (if you bumped your mouth with your toothbrush, etc.) or stress. Apply "Cank-aid" for relief - you can find this at any drugstore, or ask your dentist for a prescription for a paste called Kenalog in Orabase which coats the sores. They last about a week. Come to think of it, I think you can get a an OTC version of Orabase at the drugstore, too.

Normally children get mouth sores when their stomach is upset, indigestion etc. Borax had been used from ancient times for stomach ulcers as well as mouth ulcers. In homeopathic doses normally not more than three doses in 30 potency are necessary. The main symptom for the use of Borax is fear of downward motion, and startling from sudden sounds. In the modern era, the nomal reason for stomach upsets is slight food poison by pesticides, or other reasons. One dose of Arsenic Album at 30 potency(three globules) usually remove the aphthae overnight and second doses usually need not be resorted to. In some cases where late sitting for study, examination and like give stress to children and give rise to worries and therefore, ulcers which is reflected as aphthae in the mouth too, and also if some one has taken too much coffee, tea and or with alcoholic drinks, Nux Vomica in 30 potency is found most effective. If it is with bad breath, either nux or Mercurious 30 will cure according to symptoms. If it is close to the joint of tthe tongue and mouth and one single one, Thuja will certainly cure with one single dose. In the case of indigestion and high fever, the ulcers come out as eruptions and is outside the lips or mouth and are cured with Natrum Mur or arsenic album. Aphthae in children only indicates an upset stomach. At the most a congested chest. Get well soon.

You might want to try a diluted peroxide rinse. You can by a mouth rinse by Colgate - Peroxyl in a blue box - in the dental section of the pharmacy. Rembrandt also makes a similar product. The rinse is designed to be used to help heal oral tissue irritations. Or you can mix one part hydrogen peroxide with 3 parts water. Do not swallow and use sparingly.

Also use plain sterile water to rinse your mouth immediately after eating and every 1 to 2 hours throughout the day to help remove bacteria and other debris from the tissues in the mouth. The water rinse will help moisten the gums and line the tissues and helps neutralize the acid, too.

Avoid spicey foods, ketchup, mustard, acidic foods. Use a soft bristle tooth brush, and vitamin B might help, too, especially if you have a high carb diet.

If the same irritations do not heal within 2 weeks, please visit your dentist to rule out any possible disease.

I don't know what causes it, but putting a dab of salt onto the ulcer makes them go away more quickly. It stings a bit and tastes revolting, but it's worth it!

mouth ulcer is one of the symptoms of yeast infection ..check your self with Nutritional Therapist as this condition is quite seriouce and might lead to other different health problems
Candida albicans is one of the many yeasts present in the large bowel, genital tract, mouth, and throat and under normal conditions is compatible with good health. It is usually kept under control by good bacteria, our immune system and intestinal pH levels. What is less well recognised is that candida can, under certain circumstances, become pathogenic, causing havoc everywhere in the body.

Symptoms associated with candidiasis, or an overgrowth of candida antibodies, include:

. Fatigue
. Foggy head, lack of concentration, poor memory
. Mood swings, depression, anxiety
. Bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, excess wind, indigestion
. Fungal infections
. Aching joints, heavy muscles
. Recurrent thrush, vaginitis and increased vaginal secretions
. Bad breath, coated tongue, ulcers and sores in the mouth
. Cravings for sweet and yeasty food, including bread and alcohol
. Decreased libido
. Bladder and kidney infections
. Menstrual problems
. Dry itchy skin
. Chronic sinus problems
. Sensitivity to perfumes, chemicals, fumes and other odours
. Food sensitivities
. Acne
. Frequent colds, and infections
. Chilliness, cold hands and feet

Problems arise when the balance of good bacteria to harmful ones changes within the
digestive tract. Given certain conditions, the candida proliferates and can change into
a pathogenic form. Once this has occurred, the candida can release toxins into the blood stream and travel through the body, affecting all systems, from digestion to the skin and hormones.

Common causes of overgrowth include:

. Contraceptive pill
. HRT
. Steroids including asthma and eczema medication
. High sugar diet
. Antibiotic use
. Immune deficiency
. Hormones from food (animal products), water and a non organic diet
. Diabetes
. High stress levels
. Use of anti-inflammatory drugs
