Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are nice, little dogs. They weigh about 20 pounds and have excellent personalties. They were bred to be companions for royalty.

Pretty much any dog bites, but you should try a beagle. They barely bite, dont shed or drool, and are very well behaved, im pretty sure that includes the crotch thing. Also try animalplanet.com, they have plenty of animal tips.

Well all types of breed of dogs can bite by their attitude. When you buy them play with them a little and see. If it might be a puppy still, it will probably bite since it is still young.
But what I recommended is a Yorkie.

I hope that when you said "crotch" you meant scratch but ALL dogs scratch and bite at times, it just in their nature.

All dogs bite. It just depends if they are trained not to or if they are trained to. Try going to your local shelter and play with the different breeds and find the one that best fits you and your lifestyle.

Theres no special dog by nature that wont scratch & bite u..
Labradors r very frndly, gentle & cool..but its not that they can never bite....it depends on the atmosphere they r brougt up &
the way they r treated,grown & traind by u.
...he ll never harm u if u r tender to him.

Females can be more docile than males. If you do get a male, make sure you have him fixed, that will make a difference (not as territorial). As for specific breeds, I think a Lab would be best. They are usually sweet-tempered as opposed to other dogs.

It matters how you train the dog and how it was raised so maybe a little Yorkie or a golden retriever. They're very kind and great with kids!!
