I want a TV that has a DVD player but I can't buy dishnetwork, directv, or stuff like that. If I buy this TV could I just plug it in, put an antenna on top of it and get channels like channel 4, 8, 11, 13, 21, etc.? Or will it only work if I buy a program?

Yes if you buy this TV and an antenna you can plug it in and get local channels (Nice TV). You will get better reception (picture) with some because the signal strength is stronger. you can adjust your antenna so you get the best picture. Most TVs do not come with an antenna so you will probably need to buy one.The one you have provided a link for will work just fine. Enjoy>

Yes it will work, however if this is your long term television plan you might look for a different one. Over the air analog signals are being eliminated in 2009, and replaced with strictly digital signals. Since this TV does not have the appropriate tuner, you will not be able to get over the air signals after that date. You should look for a TV that says it has an ATSC tuner.

yes it will work. the antennas that come with the TVs usually arent that good but if you buy one, you should be able to get those channels with good reception.
