I have heard recently that coffee is a top source of antioxidants. If the caffeine does not bother you, 1-2 cups should be ok. However, if you show any signs of caffeine addiction (sleep problems, shaking, not being able to survive without caffeine), you may want to cut back on your coffee intake.

Here's info on antioxidants:

If you have any questions, talk to your doctor.

A stimulant like caffeine isn't great. Tea has caffeine but also has major healing properties. I drink coffee about once every second day and try to stick to green or white tea (low caffeine) after that. Even black tea is better. We all have our vices, though. I love the smell of freshly roasted coffee so it is a little difficult for me to eliminate it out completely. I don't think that is excessive. You should be fine.

I think you are perfectly safe with 2 cups a day. If you are concerned try to drink "half-caf" coffee with half the amount of caffine.
