All religions don't say this.
Just the false religions say it to keep people from questioning the nonsense they promote.

Which God? The god in the bible declares his way is the only way and yes, he does have commandments to be obeyed. There is one church according to the bible. One Lord, One Faith, One God and Father of all. One body Ephesians 4:4,5,6
Your above statement is false, not all religions claim you will go to hell if you do not believe their way. Only the Christian and monotheistic religions.
Pagan religions and others not based on the one God of the bible say no such thins as hell is a Christian creation.

Religions are a group of like thinking individuals who practice worship in their own way.
Religions do not say a thing. Their members do and will be judged individually. Some members of misc. religious orders preach intolerance. We all know some Christan's and some Muslims who practice intolerance. That is their problem and the practices of a few should not be reason to judge the whole. That also is intolerance.
God, Christ, Allah etc. did not invent their religions. Their followers did.
God makes man, man makes religion.

Because as it is their religion, thye feel if you don't support it such as they do you will go to hell for wronging them and wroning their religion. So they are trying to scare you into converting and I think the only reason that religions(man's) aren't maybe as friendly or warming as the belief in God, is because more people support God and not their religion. Jealousy is why i think they threaten you hope i helped :)

All religions don't teach that--only Christianity and Islam. And, properly understood, both of these faiths allow for the "salvation" pof people who don't share the religious belief, but who have and practice a moral livestyle to the best of their ability.
Its only the extremists of any religion who try to make the "believe as I do or go to hell" arguement.

well, believing God is not where vedic scriptures (which are more advanced that ur science) stop, they continue to knowing God.
believing something without knowing is nonsense .... if not pls let me know how.
there is gulf of difference between psuedo belief and knowledge of it....
coming to ur question abt hell. Yes, every scripture, if authentic, says it. but its not if u dont follow me then u will go to hell, no thats wrong.
Rape or murder is crime in India also in America also. so some1's belief or inability to see the entire process wont change the fact.
So if u break general laws like those and more ( u can get frm scriptures) u will go to place where punishment is awarded defined as 'hell'
if u ppl have more questions i will be online frm 10:00 pm GMT -05:30.

it is not a matter of what you believe.
it is a matter of what God says.
Here is what God has to say about the matter:
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
You are right to place your total trust in God and not in human "religion".

I read your other answers before answering...my understanding of your question its not belief in the word of God as such but in that particular church's beliefs right?
I went several times to this one church and was enjoying the sermons (was during a revival and not my faith) until one night the preacher said....if you don't believe in and named his churchs organization and their teaching then ones would go to hell.
I never went back.
I don't practice a formal church, but a personal religion by actions in how I live......I am very tolerant of other religions..there is goodness in all of them and badness in all...that is human nature......Its interesting to talk to others from different backgrounds for you learn them, their country, their life style,.....
so continue put your faith in God not in man made laws of a formal church on how they adapted the rules.

This hell thing is a type of threat common to all religions in one way or another. Through propoganda such as this, masses since the beginning of time have been manipulated in their beliefs.

Because it is true... though some people that believe, they too might end up in Hell, because they might believe in something that is against Gods will... but every one that believes in 1 God will enter Heaven... unless they commit the biggest sin... associating things with the Creator.
