It's OK if you live in the city or anyplace with a sewer system. The sewer companies are designed to handle small amounts of oil and grease.
It's not OK if you live in the country, where you can clog up your pipes and your neighbors' pipes.

It sticks to the sides of the pipes and will eventually have things stick to it that will clog your pipes. Even a garbage disposal doesn't help that because a garbage disposal is designed to break down food into small pieces to go through your pipes, it does not really help with grease. Best to just let the grease or oil solidify, then wipe it out of whatever it's in with paper towels, and then wash it well with hot water and soap.

Grease can and usually will combine with any sediment in the drain, and can for a clog. If it is a small amount, occasionally, you can put it down the drain with a lot of very hot running water. Continue the water a minute or two after the grease, so as to get it to the sewer pipe which is bigger and won't clog as easily.

u should not pour grease down the drain as it will set either in the u bend, or it will start to set further down the drain system. if u keep doing this it may well build up and cause major problems, not good with a garbage disposal as it will mix the fat and food together causing damage to unit and drains. the reason i know is worked in kitchens for years and seen the damage it can do. try tipping grease into a jar hope this is some use

You never put grease down your drain, it will clog your pipes. If you have bacon or sausage drippings try making gravy to have with your biscuits. Just a suggestion. Other grease I store in a separate container then throw it away.

no, grease will cool and form blockages or line the walls of the drain pipes restricting water flow.
save old plastic milk bottles or soft drink bottles and, using a funnel, pour the grease in them and dispose of it that way.

I did that and it clogged up our drain, and I have a garbage disposal. I wouldn't suggest doing that!
