its very normal, it depends if there is any sexual tension between the two of you, the more there is the easier it is to start something with them,

Yea, it would be hard after being friends so long, to become sexaully active with them... but if you truly love them as more than a friend , the awkward feeling should go away, if it doesnt, your not really in love, your still only friends...I know that sounds bad but honestly, it wont work out if that the way u feel all the time, as u would be better off friends so you dont lose the relationship all the way, just see how it plays out, dont rush into a big decision yet... Take care ... Tyler

No!
It's always better for friendship to preclude
sex. However, there is always a chance that
the friendship might end if things don't work
out sexually. You need to asses the risk.
How much is this friendship worth to you?
Is love anywhere in this picture?
Will it be possible for you to continue
the friendship eventhough you both posses
carnal knowledge of each other and things
didn't work out sexually?
A friendship is worth more than an explora-
tory sexual encounter.
Good luck to you.

It's harder to revert to just being friends with someone you've previously had a sexual relationship with. I would've imagined feeling embarrassed and awkward not be to normal if you were friends first and the change in your relationship was right for both of you.

Yes and No for me it depends on if i was already attracted to her the whole time you know what i mean....you can have a good looking friend that you want to jump but,you dont want to cross that line.....because you are not sure.

I never felt that problem, I've hooked up with two best friends before, but then it was not romantic just FWP and we are comfortable with each other (and the guys knew each other too)

if it feels that way then you robably werent meant to be with them in a sexual way, when my best friend and i started dated, it was not weird at all, after being best friends for 5 years, thats when we knew we should be together
