Should the USA open up it's borders and ports and allow them all to enter our country? What do you think will happen to the USA in the next 25 years if we don't curtail all immigration now?
World poverty cannot be removed by importing it all to the USA. The USA would only become a poverty stricken country itself. The poor of the world must be helped in their own countries.

I've seen the video and it is chilling.

I wonder how many will watch it all the way through?

I agree that we can help the poor without making them Americans. And also, I don't think we should completely stop all immigration. As with anything, we should try to find a happy mdium. We should be following the rules as they were written. That is, if you move here, you must become a citizen, and then should be paying taxes, working, and speaking English. These people should not be exploiting our freedoms. And those who are not legal citizens should be more closely monitored, after all, these people could be terrorists, criminals, or worse. They should not be working tax-free and using government benefits, like Medicaid, etc. The employers should be more closely monitored and punished for using illegals as laborers. Why not set up a hotline in each town, for citizens to report these infractions and a reward system for those who do not participate in the death of America. I am not saying that anyone should not be allowed to come in to America, and to become a citizen; just that they should do it the right way, and show this country some respect. We are not the world's trashcan. Please write your congressman if you think America should change our policies and get out there and vote!!! Exercise your rights!

I have no problem with adding security measures to prevent illegal immigration, though how much good that would do is questionable. You may be able to slow down illegal immigration, but that's about it.

But as far as the 13 million illegal immigrants who are in the U.S. now, the solution is amnesty. The idea that you can somehow find and escort 13 million people to the border (who will do whatever is necessary to avoid that)...is ridiculous.

The financial and social costs involved in doing that would be monumental, and after all was said and done... the effort would be mostly unsuccessful.

Here's what we all tend to forget. There are a good deal of Mexicans IN MEXICO who are making it. We aren't exactly getting the most highly educated, highly skilled (in areas we need) folks when we take in illegals.

Your rules sound good to me but I'd add one. If you commit a crime in the U.S. and run to Mexico, you're sent back to us for trial and, if found guilty, your sentence without any restrictions/conditions.

The arguement, of course, is that we can't deport that many Mexicans without having an impact on our economy. I wonder - how did we IMPORT that many? I mean, THAT has certainly affected our economy.

And if they're sent back at a rate of a few hundred a week, it's not going to impact our economy.

This actually old news, it just now people are learning of this. It a hard thing to approach and do this in a fair way. Many American Companies are trying to help in this area by moving their operations overseas to these impoverished countries to help build them up economically and socially. Though this costs Americans jobs it does help as you say; "The poor of the world must be helped in their own countries".
I will probably get thumbs down, but, this the truth!

What we need to do is cut them off of any and all state assistants, then maybe they wouldn't bother to come here and live off of OUR money.Unfortunately for them it sounds bad to say it that way but I am sick of supporting their many children while they are just sitting around having MORE children, for the American people to support . Punish all the people who employ them and fine the ones who hide them out .Deporting them I think would be cheaper than supporting them in the long run.Close the darn boarders then shoot who ever tries to cross, I know that sounds harsh but what else is there? THEY are bring OUR Country down and bleeding US dry.

I agree that we must curtail immigration, but it seems that you aren't asking a question. You are making a strong statement that many agree with.

Another thing I feel is wrong, is to give illegal immigrants health care coverage and welfare benefits. This is the land of milk and honey because of this.
