I have terrible sinus pain and congestion and don't know what the right combination of meds would work best. Should I take a decongestant with an expectorant???

Is it safe to take a pain reliever along with the Mucinex D?

You may have a sinus infection, if you do, you need to go to the doctor and get antibiotics.

Otherwise, I would say yes, take a Decongestant with an expectorant. Mucinex is the best one I know of.

there are several sinus meds over the counter but I prefer to use a sinus cleanser such as (SinuCleanse Nasal Wash System) its a little pot filled with the rinse that comes with it you can buy more packets you just tilt your head and pour it into your nostrils this has worked best for me with sinus infections

something you can do right now with products you prob have at home is this, i promise it will help allot. Get about a little less than half a tbsp of salt and mix it in half a cup of water, and snort it through your nose and hack it out through your mouth, or you can simply just pour a little in your nose and tilt your head back and hold it in for a few seconds and blow it back out, this will help clear out your nose and help kill allot of bacteria up there, and as far as inflammation you can take advil.
