basically, i am on an emergency tax code becuase my employer doesnt have a P60 for me becuase my previous employer didnt give me one... so now this wrong tax code i am on means i get charged full tax even tho im a student working part time in the UK. i have heard that i can claim back my tax but not my national insurance contributions and my previous employer doesnt send me my statement of earnings which is apparently what i need to give this employer...and while the previous employer doesnt give me that, this employer keeps taxing me! what shall i do! im losing soo much money

i forgot to mention i think the reason i didnt get a p60 is because i was on a casual contract, meaning no fixed hours or n e thing, they used to just call me when they had work

ask your present employer for the telephone no. of yout tax office and call them, explain the problem , they should be able to help you but you will get the tax back at some stage. the tax office will have your previous records on file.

also report to them that you have not had a p60. cos thats illegal!!!!

You are governed by the rules of the country in which you live.

You need to read up on those taxing rules - and they are on the internet.
