It is true that suicide is a sin, you killing your own body. And you are dead, thus can't change your mind, can't ask for forgiveness, etc.

But only Jesus knows exactly what's in your heart, mind and soul at all times. And at the time that one in thinking of suicide and committing it, He knows what it what. He makes that decision of what happens to you afterwards. He takes into concideration your entire life prior as well and what lead up to the suicide. Also, note that many suicides are actually accidents. People are drunk and don't know what they are doing. They accidently drive off a bridge, they accident drink too much, they accidently take too many pills, they accidently shot themselves. If they weren't drunk, they probably wouldn't not have killed themselves. And the mentally ill that kill themselves are just that, mentally ill. Jesus doesn't punish them will hell.

Suicide is said to be an unforgiveable sin because you are dead and can't change your mind and come back and ask for forgiveness and start over. But it's Jesus that is the Judge and He knows our entire life story. He know every single thing that we have done and said and thought. He knows why we wanted to die or if it was truly an accident. If you know someone who has committed suicide, continue to pray for them. They could be in purgatory for a long, long time and your prayers will help them.

a person who commits suicide is definitely going to hell... there is no doubt about it.

So basically, any bad situation the person feels they can not deal with and wants to escape from by committing suicide, will only lead to a much, much worse situation from which there is no escaping.... eternal hell-fire, a place of torment and destruction in which one can never die from. So it's better to live in this world and try to work out a resolution to life's problems and die a natural death.

No.NO.NO and NO

The only way you are definitely going to Hell is if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
If you are a person who commits suicide and do not have salvation before you commit suicide then you are going to Hell just like any other unsaved person who dies any other way.

Why can't you people get it?
There is no such thing as god or the devil or heaven or hell or an afterlife or reincarnation or a soul.
All the above are lies, a massive but very successful confidence trick. Religion, of whatever flavour is always a man-made invention, much the same as the Tooth Fairy.
It really is as simple as that.

I have listened to Christians say that it is an unforgivable sin, and a certain ticket to hell, however I cannot find that in the Bible.

It is not the unforgivable sin, and the Bible does not say that a person who commits suicide will go to hell.

If you can find that in your Bible, please post it.

I can say that IMHO, if a person commits suicide, they are weak in their faith.
If that were an unforgivable sin, most of us would go to hell.

Some say that we are told that suicide is unforgivable in an attempt to control our mind, however I think the person that says that sincerely believe it is an unforgivable sin, and is in the Bible.
It is not a plot, it is misinformation.

it truly is an recommendations-blowing question!! I research close to lack of existence studies and they say that both worst activities are to kill yet another human being or your self!! and also you'll surely be in Limbo. They went on to assert that you will be tied to each and each and every of the human beings and activities that you disharmonized and felt utter melancholy and separtness from the only source, that's God..suffering might want to be tremendous and can want to look eternal!! i for my section believe that all of us will be judged upon our lack of existence for the failings we did or didnt do and each and everything note idea and deed might want to have a skill on us for my section!! As for punishment , purely God can dish that out. yet at the same time as we are right here we ought to continually make the finest of our lives and judgements i desire. Does this answer your question??

The Problem of Your QUESTION, is the Source of Your INFORMATION!

It is Incomplete! Suicide WILL NOT SEND YOU TO HELL IF YOU ARE A BELIEVER!

Perhaps a reading of Judges chapters 13 - 14 - 15 - 16 and ask yourself, Was SAMSON "A Believer?" [YES!]

Did He commit SUICIDE? [YES!]

Thanks, RR

We should not take what we cannot give. However there is no way of saying that some is definitely going to hell. We do not know anyones heart, that is between the person and Christ.

We have no way of knowing what goes through someones mind and or heart in those last moments.

God bless you

NO.. it is another myth that makes sense to us, but is not found in the Bible. Thje Bible is very clear that the only way to Hell is to deny Christ. Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

A definite NO! Someone commits suicide in a confused state of mind. This confusion of mind may continue into spirit realms..but is soon healed and calmed for progress into the next adventure. Some of the wild stories around suicide are for the fear factors.
