By all means learn the signs and rules (vary by state) online but do not attempt to get behind the wheel until you have had some actual hands on in a vehicle. Every car/truck drives different, brakes different and feels different when you actually drive it. Get professional drivers education either from your school (if you are still in school) or a private company before you take the road test. Parking is difficult too, so you should seek actual certified training.

Nothing is wrong with learning road signs and driving rules online, you have to pass the test in DMV anyway before you can get your permit or license.
