Definately, otherwise none of us would've had more than one relationship. Growing up and having relationships is all about trial and error and learning how to correct mistakes. You learn what works, what you really want, and don't. You learn how to end relationships well (hopefully) and how to make better choices next time. There is no substitute for time healing your wounded heart but it does help to have a distraction. Whether that is a new interest or hobby or a close friend is your choice. Go have some fun and when you're ready go find a better partner.

Absolutely..if you want to. If you're willing to learn from your mistakes and take the risk. The biggest key is to figure out where you went wrong. Are you attracted to a type that's just toxic for you? Do you accept behaviors that aren't going to acceptable long term because you want to please?
I had a horrid marriage, but my last relationship was wonderful. It didn't work out long term (for a host of reasons), but I seem to have definitely learned some lessons.
I may never marry again. I may never have a long term relationship. Heck, I may permanently swear off men, but I have confidence in my ability to learn from my errors and make better choices.

If every one gave up after their first bad relationship there would be no relationships today. Time heals all. Get back out there.

Yes, I spent 7 years in a horrid relationship--finally it fizzled off, and a year later I met the love of my life. I'm not saying that you'll never think about that first relationship again, but you'll be so happy, you'll have a whole different, better life.
Feel better, don't rush things--good things come to patient people.

Time heals all wounds. Don't judge future relationships on your first one. Try to figure out objectively why your first committed relationship failed, before you begin a new one.

Of course yu can, but depending on what happened and your own personality it takes time to get over it. I have met some aweful men in my life, from men who cheated on me and men with loose hands to men who did not take NO for an answer ( if yu know what I mean ...). So yes I have been damaged. But now I am extrenmely happy with my new guy.
It is not only a question of getting over your past, it also important that you do not project your past on a new partner. Because that is not fair.

of course you will heal, it will just take some time thats all, also when youve been hurt you end up keeping a people at the distance because your afraid of being hurt, sometimes you may not even realise it, so leave your heart open.
Love like you've never been hurt
Work like you dont need the money
And dance like you do when nobody is around
That's my motto for life, love your life and love will always find you

of course you will heal - it takes time - and your resolve to move on with your life. No experience is worthless because you learn from it. Examine what went wrong, the qualities you overlooked in the person, what you want from someone in the future and then remember them as you meet new people.

For some people it takes a few "bad" relationships before they find the right one. So keep your chin up and go out there! :)
