Both you and your friend will be in my prayers. I will also have him placed on our prayer list at church. Don't fret that you won't be able to say "goodbye", just be sure he knows that you think of him often and that you are keeping him in your prayers. God works in mysterious ways. Your friend is in the hospital, he is not homeless right now, he has a warm bed and people making sure that he has everything he needs, that in itself could be an answer to a prayer.

I will of course pray for you, him, and anyone else who knows him. Its rough for all of you, but God has a plan for him, and you have to trust god that it will be the right one. You have to rely on the fact that if he passes on, he will be in a much better place then where he is now.
God Bless you,
Meghan
