"The bible speaks against repeatedly as unnatural and a crime against god's order of humanity."

This argument seems to keep on re-appearing. And is clearly flawed.

Firstly, un-natural would assume that it goes against nature. But homosexuality can be seen in many species, not just homo sapiens. So, it cannot be un-natural.

Then there's the 'god's order'... My understanding of free will is that it relates to humans and not animals. So I would say an animal's actions are god's will, whereas a human's are through choice. If animals can be homosexual then god's law seems pretty selective.

And of course, there the selective reading of the holy books. The bible says you cannot eat pork. But do the Christians forbid it? Do they criticise schools for teaching that pork is a healthy food? If the bible is a set of rules, then they should all be followed. Otherwise you may as well just follow your conscience.

My personal view is that the more the religions preach intolerance of sexuality the more out of touch they will appear. It's a sad state of affairs when a religion's morals are inferior to those of society.

Personally, I believe in the idea that Man created God when, as an ignorant savage with no scientific understanding, he made up fantasies in an attempt to explain the world.
Religion has consistently through the ages opposed and contradicted true science. I have no idea what causes homosexuality, but for any religion to say that it is evil, against God's law or anything of that nature is verging on criminal stupidity. It's a natural phenomenon and should be treated as such.
And no, I am not remotely gay myself if anyone was wondering.

Christianity and islam should enhance and not deny a persons significance.
If a person believes otherwise then grow up spiritually and accept others as they are,
We have enough violence, and hatred in our world already, and it would be only too easy to start more. violence can be emotional, physical, and spiritual.
My experience and perception show me that the whole human race is suffering terribly from being damaged by itself in many different ways.
For instance just read the posts in here and you will see the suspicioun mistrust, and the defensiveness of others ,and the assumptions made about what people ask in their questions.
If you are a homosexual you may need to be anonymous when it suits you,and being too open may cause you to shut down.
I am straight, and its easy for me to be open about my sexuality.
As you can see many roman catholic priests are homosexual, and they as far as I am concerned have not been open ,and the opportunity they have had to be open could help all of us to be accepting with each oter more.
differences have threatened priests security of belonging to a common humanity, and by holding on to secrets we have all suffered as a result.
Itsa not whats wrong with homosexuality,it just becomes wrong when it is covered up,and hiddenit will come out sideways and the homosexual will be an abuser.
homosexuals have gay pride in this country and we dont need anyone damaging us by creating stigma for the gay ommunity.
if gay priests were to be open and use prayer and faith to give them strength i believe the stigma, and prejudice would subside.
homosexuality is only wrong when it is kept secret, because it needs to be treated with love and acceptance.Untreated homosexuality damages us all. you see the human race is vulnerable.

It would not. Homosexuality is what it truly is - it shouldn't have something to do with faith. I in simple terms am gay, like i'm brunette or short or undesirable at activities. None of those issues have something in any respect to do with faith. you recognize, I actual have some admiration for the individuals who attempt to save on with each element of the bible (i'm concentrated on Christianity the following, yet in effortless words because i do not recognize sufficient about the stances of alternative religions). those human beings obviously believe and are actual attempting to save my soul. that is the individuals who p.c.. and decide which regulations to save on with that annoy me. yet then i guess i'm an all or not something type of lady!

People who accept the Bible as the word of God, use certain passages in it to condemn Homosexuality. Most major religions object to it on at least the basis that sex without the intention to; or possibility of conception; is against their God's wishes or against nature. I am sure that Homosexuality has been with humanity since the very beginning. ( whatever that beginning was) It will remain with us forever. Some people are just different. I these so called 'Post Modern' times, we are at last coming out of the closet and admitting to our inclinations. I do not think Homosexuality is wrong. I think it is difficult for people who are not that way inclined to understand it. It is easy to be intolerant. It is easy to be bigoted in an attempt to distance yourself from it. The mere suspicion of being Gay is still feared.
It It is going to be a long hard road before acceptance is the norm. One can only hope for moderation and discretion from both sides of the divide.

Nothing's wrong!
If God thought that homosexuality is a bad thing, why did he create it in a first place?Because God had created everything!!!
All this religious stuff doesn't make any sense........at all!!!

First off ANY sex outside of marrage is going against Gods will. The bible also speaks of homosexual sex and how it is a travesty to God. That being said, its a sin in Gods eyes just like a little white lie or lustful thought is and will seperate you from him. There is ONLY one way to be forgiven of ANY sin, and that is to go to the cross and place your faith in Jesus. There is NO sin He won't forgive you for, except the sin against the Holy Spirit, which is rejecting Jesus.

Nothing wrong. MAjority people just dont like anything that is not that common but doesnt necessary bad. Eg, someone was labelled as stupid cause he is the only one who think that human can fly cause most people at that time think differently, even he has the right idea.
IF most people are homosexual, then heterosexuality obviously seems wrong to some people.

Nothing at all.

Christians will quote Leviticus at you, where one interpretation of it could be forbidding homosexuality and bestiality. But later on in the same book it provides a list of food which shouldn't be eaten - pork, shellfish etc. Christians think they can obey some of God's commands, but not others. That's the problem with some Christians - they like to pick and choose from the Bible to suit their own prejudices. Obviously they know beter than God.

So next time a Christian rants about homosexuality, check if he's willing to eat a pork chop or a prawn sandwich, so you can assess the consistency of his thinking.

Love's a good thing and there isn't enough of it. I don't care if it's 2 men or 2 women or a man and a woman. I know my bible quite well and I don't recall reading anywhere that homosexuality is an abomination ( maybe it's just another one of those bits that a Pope pencilled in a few centuries later). No...I'm not gay by the way.
About the reference to fornication and hell...well I think we're all doomed then.

Oh in case you didn't know...the vast majority of rapists and child molesters are heterosexual males...not homosexual males. Statistically, your child is safer with a homosexual man than any one else.
