Another vote for CR-V.

Mine is a '98 with 120k miles and I've never had a problem with it. It gets close to 30mpg and has enough cargo room to haul a 36" TV.

You can also fold down the seats to make a comfortable bed. Also has a picnic table built-in.

But the 2007 CR-V was just redesigned so I don't know if it's the same.

Suburu is alright but I don't like it's design and low resale value.

Honda CR-V. Specifically because of your size, this is a larger vehicle than the outback. You'll be able to haul more stuff in the CRV as well.

Get the outback. My dad has one, they're solid cars, and roomy to boot. Probably the only car that handles like a car, rides like an SUV, and gets 30mph. Subaru did a good job on this car, don't consider the forrester, it's too small.

Both are great cars. The decision is yours. Drive both for a couple hours each. See which one you are most comfortable in. Other that your personal comfort, IMO the cars are equal. Both are extremely reliable, have great resale value, long life, all wheel drive, very safe, etc. Looks like your choice....

you want the crv, honda just has a better vehicle. besides, you might have a hard time getting girls in college ridding around in a station wagon.
