I used to write for an open teen column in my city paper. A couple of people recognized me on the street and elsewhere (one of them tried to pick me up!), and one of my articles was mentioned on the radio. I wrote five columns in about one-and-a-half years, which was a lot, considering the amount of writers they had.

Since then, I became almost-infamous when a bunch of people from YA started e-mailing me and asking about my ultrafeminist style.

I wasn't close, I was there...in my field.

I was an artist and for about 8 years some drove hundreds of miles to have me do paintings for them and some traveled from other countries. I won many awards in fantasy art and realism on several different media. There was no need to "take advantage" of it cause I had pretty much everything I wanted and it only took the love of a girl to bring it all crashing down. I can't blame her for it cause it takes two but it was a great 8 years.

The closest to fame I had was about a year ago. My highschool softball team made it to regionals. It was a game that determined if we came in 2nd or 3rd and I had the strenght to hit a out of the field home run and everyone was screaming my name and pictures were being taken from the newspaper. It was one of the best moments of my life.

I sort of like your analytical approach to this issue. I feel a little bit like a celeb every day, being demanded on my job, it lasts sufficiently to motivate me to give extra efforts, and I am payed for it (that's all I guess).

I'm a substitute teacher. I walked into a movie theatre with my goddaughter, and a bunch of kids pointed to me and said "that lady was my teacher!" and they all said "mine, too..." and then they told me the school and I had covered for several teachers as they were in one-two hour seminars all day.
