-Will the Embassy be asking for my mothers birth record?
- My birth record shows I have a maiden name of Llanos but the previous documents I was using like SSS number, TIN and school records were under the name VALLE, I did not know the data on my b-certficate till I file for a passport, so all my life I was using VALLE instead of LLanos, do I have to change all my legal documents just in case the embassy will check in the future? Will they be asking that information too? I have gathered new data using my birth cert like drivers license, NBI clearance and voters affidavit because my previous ID's doesnt co-inside with whats on my birt cert, will the embassy be asking why??? I am also in the process of changing my school records so I would like to know your opinion on such matters please.
- My eldest son has been registered under his fathers name, would it be alright to change the data or have him registered under my name?? Will the embassy know it???

This is a typical story from the Philippines. It's also why the US embassy doesn't trust a single document supplied by Filipinos. Everything must be verified and then re-verified.

If you want to compound the mistakes just try to pass it all off at the US embassy without telling them. You'll bet banned for life.

Most honest mistakes will be forgiven in most countries. Even if there is a penalty, it is usually tendered with compassion. If you lie or deceive, that will usually be dealt with harshly. Don't hide any information. Full disclosure is very appropriate. Be honest and trust them to treat you appropriately.

You'd best call the embassy (which ever one you're referring to) directly for accurate information.
