I have been slowly trying to introduce the potty for a few months because my son HATES getting his diapers changed! he fights, does what i call the "crocodile death roll", he kicks me, and bawls the whole time. I have tried EVERYTHING! I tell him when we are going to change his diaper and why and that its no big deal. He just runs a screams and hides. I try bribes of money, candy, and i even made a sticker chart for when he does good things (like pick up toys, eat all his dinner, use the potty ect.). he really loves the chart but he just doesnt want to use the potty.
How can i make changing time easier or get my son to want to use the potty?

I had to lmao at your description of "the crocodile death roll!!!" hahaha, aren't the kids so fun around this age *sarcasm* ha!
Well, sounds like he is ready for big boy pants! Make it a BIG deal that he's wearing underwear!
Everytime he pees on the pot, have a "party" dance, sing, share some stickers, give a lollipop, whatever, just do your thing with the potty training.
When he wears a diaper, because sometimes they have to, and does his thing with the screaming and crying, and the "death roll" haha! Just put one leg over him and change that diaper quickly and sternly; that's all you can really do.
As for using the potty - bathtime is BEST, because when the water is running, they usually have to go as they are getting undressed, or right when they put their feet in.... if he's outside of the tub, have him stand over the pot.... if he's in the tub... put that little pot piece up to him and party hard when he makes it! I used tiny pieces of red vines (licorice) because that was his favorite.
Good luck to you.... and this too shall pass!
LMAO "crocodile death roll!!!!" I've seen that before! Use that leg girl!!! That should stop it... won't stop the screaming, but will stop the roll!

I work in a daycare with the 18 month-3 class, so I get this quite often. Have him put something in the toilet (like a cheerio or animal cracker) and then see if he can pee on it while standing. Some boys just don't like sitting on the potty. They would rather learn how to do it standing. After he gets comfortable with peeing while standing, he will start to get more used to the idea of pooping while sitting. Good luck with everything. Just remember to always make a big deal out of him using the potty or even him sitting on or standing by the potty trying. Kids love the positive reinforcement.

He may be ready to be potty trained. Change him into big boy training pants during the day and leave him wet for awhile so he gets use to the feeling. He won't like being wet and will start to realize that to stay dry he needs to use the potty. Try cutting back his liquids at night (no night bottle or drink) and see if he will stay dry all night. As for the kicking Mommy - a definite no-no. Put his butt in the naughty chair or time out immediately - changed or not for about 5 minutes. Then continue with the changing - if he does it again - back he goes.

He's ready to be trained then. Take the diaper off, tell him that he will never have to wear diapers again if he starts potty'ing in the bathroom like a big boy. Explain what he needs to do in there (get a doll that wets and show him) and let him go.
Don't use pull-ups, just regular underwear for a few days and it probably won't take him long.

that is one of the signs that he is ready to start using the potty. What you need to do is go get him some regular padded big boy underwear and get plastics underwear to put over those. Don't give him a diaper at all during the day. When it is night then put a diaper on him.

They actually make videos about potty training for kids to watch to help them get comfortable with it. My son absolutely loves it.. Try getting some kids books about potty training I know they have a Dora Book and some other popular characters.. Good Luck!

What that boy needs is a good hard slap on his bare behind when he acts up. I start diaper-training my babies when they are old enough to wiggle around too much. A couple of times where they get a stinging spank when they try to turn over while I'm changing a poopy diaper and it nips it in the bud. YOur baby is way older, you've missed a lot of opportunities and basically rewarded him for his bad behaviour in your attempts to bribe and reward, but it's not too late to start spanking his bottom when he is not behaving appropriately for a diaper change. It WILL stop it after a couple times (he will test you to make sure you're going to be consistent before he gives up).

With this much resistance it might be too early to potty train. Toddlers that run for a diaper change might like to switch to the kind that pull on like underware.

actually we enable our daughter run around bare and while she had to bypass potty thats while and how we modify into waiting to propperly instruct her. Yeah we didnt enable her bypass all day bare, yet quite a few aspects of the day, so it worked like that... yeah she did the kick element too until daddy have been given in contact.. which potential me, so yeah it stopped. yet thas the way it works with the little ones in any case in my family members... works appropriate. as far as she is going... provide it a attempt an see what happens.
