I perfectly understand your feeling, out there in the UK. The reason why for many UK is the natural destination is the fact that their countries were the former colonies of Britain. You may regulate immigration. That is alright. But, you cannot put an end to it completely.

UK does have some restrictions, so it is not all that bad.
See the new countries that joined EU won't be able to work here unless highly skilled. And I don't see why are immigrants bothering you unless some very capable employee who is an immigrant is wanting your job. But after all If they know what they are doing they can bring some money into this economy.

HOWEVER there are loads of illegal working immigrants, or some of them leave on benefits, when they can train and work, which is really not fair on the working people.

Therefore, I think certain restrictions should be made. But not on the amount of people coming in, but on the kinda stuff that they can do. Last year they were many car crashes from people with EU driving licences. May be they can do something about it. Also it is fairly easy for people to just get benefits, which should be more strict and really not allowed.

However, lets not forget that immigrant are people who for some reason have not got opportunities and high standard life in their own countries, so they come to the UK and start here from scratch. Therefore you cannot just ban people from coming in here and wanting to have a normal life. But you can prevent certain people who just want to benefit from this countries good economics.

No, you mean ruining, but you are wrong. I'm a Brit, in Sydney at present, it's multicultural and full of immigrants (I'm not just talking about the Anglos and Chinese who have been here for centuries). Thailand where I was before, has a huge British community (Thais think all British men are sex tourists) Spanish resorts are bursting with red-faced middle aged Brits who drink all day, refuse to learn the language and whose golf courses take all the water so that farmers cannot grow their crops. On my way to Hong Kong next, full of Brits.

So which country is being runed ? Or ruied ? Cheap travel has transformed the world, and now 10% of the world's people do not live in the country where they were born. Brits emigrate more than most other nations, are you saying we've all got to come home now ?

The UK is finding out the hard way, much as France has, that their lax immigration laws offered asylum to almost everyone who came. Unfortunately, their liberal political correctness overlooked a dangerous element within their ranks: muslims who have no intention of assmilating into British culture but, instead, have every intention of corrupting it and destroying it for Allah.
It's not too late but it will require every English citizen to take defensive measures when these groups carry out their planned attacks.

It's too late for France. We will see the demise of the French nation within the next 5-10 years.

I support legal immigration, by the way, as long as the immigrant takes a loyalty oath and pledges allegiance to the flag of their host nation and accepts that country's constitutional laws. There are too many subversives using liberal governments softness and only an alert public can deter their success.

These people are going to what ever country will support them and ALL there children. If it is free then they will come and take what ever they get their hands on, weather it be legal or illegal. Try being white and getting JUST medical assistance in America it 's like if you are not Mexican they put you through the freaking MILL and then some, I have been there and all I needed is medical assistance I NEVER ask for money , food stamps or wick. Sure I was working but I had no Insurance so why can't MY country help one of their own?, That's HAS paid taxes or is working and NOT for cash. Go figure they are going to keep letting them in without question it WILL get worse before it gets better. It's going to take America to crash into poverty before they say OOPS maybe we should have done something before this happened. Then people wonder why the American people are up set to say the least, it's NOT just the jobs they take it's ALL the money they STEAL.

Everyone keeps going on about being "British" Well what is British??? We go about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or aTurkish Kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on A Japanese TV. And the most British thing of all? Suspicion of anything foreign. If it wasn't for immigration across the board we would have none the above.........

No, i don't think we are too light on immigration. We still have very strict controls, and with the introduction of citizenship tests and language tests the government is making a stand to make sure that immigrants integrate. Immigrants make our country diverse and unique and many work incredibly hard to integrate themselves and earn a living. Some don't of course, but many Britons also don't attempt to find work. Moreover, native Britons make it even harder - why on earth would an immigrant want to integrate into a society full of bigots who claim, with little justification, that they are ruining the country?
Finally, lots of people confuse immigrants with asylum seekers, who have every right to escape a country where they face persecution and come somewhere where they will be supported and helped. I am proud to be a citizen of a country where people are treated equally, given asylum and given the opportunity to become part of a community.

Bob C, it is too late now for rules in this country. The damage has been done and there is no way out of it. This is why the Brits are leaving the UK to go and live abroad. The BLAME is for this corrupt Government who has damaged the UK and I am afraid it is going to get worse before it does get better.

If they have jobs to go to, homes that they can pay for themselves, can contribute to this country, then yes, they maybe should be considered to come over here. But as for the ones wanting benefits, houses, etc, then they shouldn't be allowed to come here. We are getting a bit overloaded now, something has to be done quick before this all gets out of hand. This is all thanks to Tony B-Liar by the way.
