Broaden your horizons. Go to www.irs.gov and click on the eFile icon (wait until Tuesday). You may well qualify to file your tax return for free. Why pay for something if you can get it for nothing?

Edit: Judy makes a fair point, but if you are due a refund the quickest way to get it is by filing electronically. If you qualify for free filing, why not?

They are both good for single... the difference being you have the audit protection of H&R Block with taxcut !

I have used both and found that they work about the same and are "equally" reliable. For your circumstances it should not make a bit of difference. There is a third option that is becoming popular which is taxact.com. They seem to be a bit easier to file electronically but don't try anything to difficult with that program.

For a single who doesn't itemize, whatever's cheapest makes sense. Go to irs.gov and download form 1040-EZ - you probably don't need software to do that one yourself, and you'll save a few bucks.
