I have a 12 week old Pap. I plan to train him indoors and take him out daily for walks only as exercise because my college schedule gives me enough free time to spend with him, but is very erratic.
And I don't mind picking up his messes if they are in a designated area.

That being said, I'm having issues paper training him. He seems well trained in all other aspects and very bright, and I taught him paper = good from day 1. I have also been cleaning up his accidents with an enzyme thing to get rid of the scent.

But he has some very weird habits. For one, he seems to hate peeing and pooping in the same place. If left to his own devices, he will pee and poop in opposite corners of the room\pen. Another thing is though he knows what 'potty' means and that paper is good, whenever he has to go and I put him on the spot, he keeps running back to the spot he chose.

He was doing well, mostly hitting the paper, when all of a sudden he had a complete relapse. What do I do?

you are making one very big mistake puppy pads are very confusing to a dog because you are teaching him its OK to go inside the house!!! and on the floor! you MUST train him to go outside its all about routine look at your schedule and time when its a god time fro walks and stuff like that so your wont have to go inside! and if you catch him in the act give him a firm tap and yell no and put him in his cage or kennel and you say your are in college so you may move around alto or sometimes when your done college well when you train your dog to go outside you train him once but you need to train your dog over and over agin if you use pads! so yeah i hope i helped!

okay first off do you live in an apt complex? if not then train him outside like people said . But if you live in a complex where you have a community yard teach him on pads otherwise I would not train him outside untill he is fully vaccinated . Otherwise he might catch something parvo is very dangerous. Yes the puppy pad have to be left down and you have to be consistant with him and keep putting on the pad . good luck and I hope I helped.
