Cheerleading help?

i really want to be a cheerleader but i have no experience. i really do not want to make a fool out of myself if i audition. so what do i have to learn and how do i do it? it would be really nice if i got videos or sumthing. please and thankyou!

Go through the sections of Cheerleading 101 http://geocities.com/aescougarcheer/basics.htm and get familiar with some of the things you need to know about cheerleading, such as how to breathe, how to hit your motions, and how to jump. On the Videos page are some clips of cheerleading routines. You might try watching some of those to see if you can judge what great cheerleading looks like, then do what you can to mimic that.

you need to know how to do the basics.. like cartwheel handsprings handstands roundoff front flip and back flip... if you can do all that you will def. get on the team. also you have to be really peppy and have alot of spirit... come up with some awesome cheers if they dont already have cheers that they want you to do... and most of all bring it and show them all you got... just do your best.. and its not the best answer to put pressure on yourself... if your just trying out for like a high school team, there isnt much to worry about... you'll get used to preforming and it will become 2nd nature... just try your hardest..and oh! you could take like day camps in the summer before you try out.. that will def. get you on

OK well i cheer and when it comes to tryouts you have to be really tight with your motions and really loud. As for tumbling (backhandspring, cartwheel ext) take a gymnastics class that will really help you-- expessially when tryouts come around.
