A couple months ago I tried out for a musical at my school. The teacher who was going to be directing the musical said that I 1 of the prettiest voices she had ever head but I new she was just trying to make me feel better when she said that because she casted me as Flash Frankie, an un- employed boy with no lines when she told me I have a pretty voice, AND everybody else in musical had lines but me! And no solo singing! I just sing 2 songs with the whole cast and that's all that I do. The musical shows for 3 days and I'm afraid I'm gonnaa get bored after a-while. They've already casted the understudies. What should I do?

Be glad you got chosen. Everyone has to have a good voice in the cast (you said you get to sing 2 songs). If you do this job well, you might get a big/bigger role in the next production.

Who gets picked for what doesn't always mean choosing the best. What I mean is especially with school productions the teacher may have picked some people to help boost there confidence. But regardless you made a commitment to this play. If you are not serious about participating you should have never tried out. But if you must quit. Do so ASAP. Even though you may not have the lead there are people counting on you. By not being dependable and not taking your role seriously your only setting yourself up to not get picked ever by this teacher.

be the best flash frankie you can be, you dont need to be the star of the show to steal the limelight, think about this the welsh actor richard burton in 2001 a space oddessy never appeared in any scene of the film, yet he stole the show. regards LF
