I wore a strapless champagne coloured gown that had a bit of beading on the train and on the chest area...it also looked like it was wrapped around at the torso....and kinda ruched....I did not wear a veil....my hair is very long so it woulda looked funny. I had my hair half back with a pearl comb in the back. I wore champagne coloured 1 1/2 inch strappy sandals underneath.

I wore a beautiful hand made spaghetti strap white dress with a three foot train. Tiara style veil, and ballerina style slippers. I made the dress myself. The groom wore black dress slacks and a white dress shirt. It was a simple wedding ceremony that I planned in 9 days. (BTW the whole deal cost less than 200 dollars and we had a huge reception with sit down meal, fifty guests and the 200 included my dress and the bridesmaids and groom and groomsman's attire and all deco.- frugal maybe creative definitely)

Shorts and slippers. Under my wedding gown.

My friend's husband wore shorts w/a cell phone hanging from the belt to their wedding.

A regular dress--rust colored with pink flowers, from the 1970s. My aunt had worn it to marry my uncle the same week as I was born, so it was sentimental.

Plus I don't like the traditional "white or off-white" bs b/c I don't think my virginity is anyone's business but my own (my husband's outfit didn't change according to his level of experience--he wore a charcoal gray suit). A sentimental dress helped me skip that debate.
