Off hand I can't think of any vegAtables as in your wrongly spelled question, but if you mean vegEtables, then try potatoes and greens, pre-cooked then fried = bubble and squeak

For a homemade winter soup I like leeks, tomatoes, sweetcorn and carrots. For a sunday lunch I always like the staple carrots and peas together. Broccoli and leeks work well together or for a lasagne I put tomatoes, red onions and sweetcorn. Chickpeas work well in soups and aparagus and peas for a lighter meal. Spinach is best alone I think.

Onions, carrots and celery are a good combination for cooking in a soup or stew, especially if you pan roast them until they are lightly carmelized in the pan that you are making the soup or stew in. Sweet corn and red and yellow bell peppers also go nicely together, if you finely chop the peppers.

It depends on what you are making, but green peppers and onions work well. I also like to make potato "packets" on the grill with potatoes and onions. Corn and potatoes are also really good.

I like swede and brussels sprouts together and they also make the best bubble and squeek with cabbage and potatoes.

Sweet potatoes and Plantins go well together if you like that sort of thing. Unfortunately though, I don't.
