Boyfriend says he's bored with life...

boyfriend of 9 months says he is bored not with me but with his life in general, when i ask him about he says he does not feel like talking about it. I as him if he is bored with me and he said no.

he also said that this weekend he wanted to just stay home alone and not go out as he said that we did lots of stuff the past few weekends, but then when i said i wanted to do something alone the next day he got mad, he mentioned to me on new years day too that he had "philsophy" on relationships and that nothing lasts forever, when i started putting all this together in relationship to him and I he said that I was overreacting....what should i do? what does this mean? Should i leave him alone or try to help

ask him and if he gets mad then tell him that you just want to help because you care about him

"nothing lasts forever" tell him that isn't true

This is just my opinion, but do you think he could just be trying to hold on to you to make his life more interesting, rather than because he has feelings for you? He says his life is boring, but he also says that it's not your fault, which would suggest that he's trying to protect the relationship. If this is the case, then you should break up with him before he hurts you.

But, be cautious - maybe there could be something deeper to the problem, which you should try and get out of him.

Of course, these are just ideas - best of luck, hope you sort things out for the better :)

It almost sounds like he probably got hurt bad in a previous relationship. He is trying to find excuses to end it or something. Sounds like you guys really just need to sit together and have an open, honest coversation. Sounds like he doesnt want to do that though but try. If not, write him a letter talking about your fears about this, your feelings for him that they are treu and you dont want things to end. Mention that you are there for him in every way. Be supportive. See what he does and says. Then you will just have to take it from there as to what to do.

He is probably not motivated to do anything. What about work? Does he work? What does he enjoy? If you know some of the things he enjoys, try to get him to go out and do them, or participate. If you can find out what motivates a person (and I do mean what truly motivates a person), you can keep them busy forever! You can also get books and find Internet sites on motivation.
