My bf is growing his hair out again because he wants to be able to get braids. It seems to be growing slow. Its jus a mini fro sitting on his head. It has to go! How do I tell him in a nice manner without hurting his feelings?

It's not your decision to make. If he wants to grow his hair out, then that is his decision.

The only thing you can do, is tell him straight out that you think his hair looks too scruffy, and it would look much better if he trimmed it.

Sorry but you can't. If what he looks like is all that matters to you then maybe it's you that has to go...
That said, suggest other stuff to do with his hair in the meantime, like spikes or mini-braids (if he has fairly thick hair these should work), or failing that tell him you appreciate what he's trying to acheive in the long-term with his hair, but for now he has to wear a hat. Buy him a beanie, or whatever hat you think he'll be into or look good in. Some guys can really pull off a trilby, others, sadly, can't.

Maybe you could say something in passing like 'oo I really like guys with hair thats xxx or yyy', or just pluck up some courage and tell him that you think his hair would look better another way. I'm sure he'd take the advice on board without being hurt, and he may change his style to impress you!

"you know I'm liking this look but I think your SO SEXY and HOTT with your hair shorter." Either way your Hott but I like the other look better. He shouldn't get his feeling's hurt as I'm sure he has to be able to look in the mirror and see that fro string right at him!

Just be honest and respectful and you should be okay!

Good Luck!

Try flipping through a magazine with him and point out some hair styles you like. He should catch on.

"Baby," you say, "Your hair sits badly on your head, it is just a mini fro that reminds me of a frizzy pita bread...I want you to get rid of it RIGHT NOW, sweetie!!!" :)
