I have yet to hear a Christian on this forum admit that they may not being going to heaven, and yet most believe others will be condemned to hell. Would you mind giving a percentage of how likely it is you will go to hell after death, and then tell why?

I'll admit it! Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few." (Matthew 7:13-14). He also said, "Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 7:21)

I have admitted repeatedly on this forum that I am not going to heaven. I do not meet the criteria necessary for being admitted to heavenly life. Very few do.

I hope to meet the criteria necessary for attaining to eternal life right here on earth where humankind was meant to be.

As for hell, the percentage that I likely will go to hell (if I die) is 100%. Why? Because virtually every single person who dies goes to hell which - according to the Bible - is the common grave of mankind. It is where Jesus himself went when he died. (See Acts 24:27, 31).

The only dead people who do not go to hell are those who have absolutely no hope of a resurrection. But that the dead get out of hell is clearly seen in Revelation 20:13 which plainly describes hell giving up those dead within it.

But since the Bible also teaches that some people will survive up to the great day of God at Armageddon and then be protected through it, there are actually some alive now who will never experience death at all. I hope to be one of them, survive the great tribulation which culminates in Armageddon - be delivered through that and have a part in turning this earth into the paradise it once was.

Yes, it is possible since people have free will to accept or reject God's gift of salvation at any time in a person's life.

It is also possible that an atheist could convert to being a Christian after 30 years of being an atheist and then go to Heaven as a Christian.

The thing is that no one knows how long we have in this life. We could die 50 years from now of old age, or we could die suddenly with no warning today or tomorrow.

If you want to research the word hell you will see all who die will go to hell as it is a grave. If you re speaking of a place of eternal torment then the answer is no new creatures will be there. I have faith and it is through this faith that I say I am a new creature. If a man believes he is destined for hell he clearly is not a new creature but a man of sin and will be judged according to the law.
It would be impossible for someone who has faith to believe that he is destined for hell. What would their faith be in death? A Christan's faith is in the atonement and resurrection and that does not translate to death it is crazy to think it would. Being born again a new creature means repenting accepting the atonement and being made new. It is by faith that we say this as we have not yet physically died and are still in sinful flesh in this sinful world. He who endures to the end is truly saved. Christians have faith that the work began will be completed if they did not have this faith they would not be Christians. To sum it up your question makes no sense as a Christian is one who has faith in his salvation through the atonement and resurrection of Christ f he did not believe in his salvation he would not be a Christian.

I am of The True Christian Faith. Those of The True Faith have God's promis that their Salvation is assured... This is because al of The True Christian Faith have come to God in The Way He prescribes and received His free gift of Salvation... we are of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head.... 100% of those of The Church will enter Heaven... Those who do not come to God in The Way He prescribes will not enter Heaven and will be eternaly seperated from God. There is debate among those of The Faith as to what this seperation will be like.... but it will be far from good that is for sure.... it is refered to as hell

There are many who think they are "christian" because they have been told by someone that they are... or they think they ahave performed some ritual or other act that suposadly makes them a "christian". Or because ey were "baptized" as a baby or they were born into a certain "church" or country. Or because they go to a certain building every Sunday or Saturday. or Friday or Wendsday. Or because they follow a certain doctrin of a certain "denomination.... none of that makes one a True Christian. Only comeing to God as God prescribes...not as a man invented doctring says.. will gain God's free gift of Salvation... those who have God's free gift will enter Heaven... those who have not, will not.... just that simple.... if 15% of those world wide who think they are "christian" truly are it would be a high number.

In reality, I risk hell every second of the day. How? Death can come at any time. That being the case, what is the condition of my soul when I die?

Jesus died to save me, but it is up to me if I choose to accept His gift. If I refuse, like through serious sin and rejection of His forgiveness, I condemn myself to Hell.

It is not possible for a truly saved person to go to hell. A person cannot loose their salvation. they can loose their reward, but salvation is eternal. If a person could loose their salvation, then nothing in the Bible could be believed and this would make God a covenant breaker. There are Christian denominations that teach that you can loose your salvation, and there are non-christian cults that teach the same. It is the general consensus among competent theologians, however, that once saved always saved. the problem is that most people who claim to be Christians are not. There are going to be lots of surprises on Judgment Day.

Some people seem to think that just because they are Christians God will take them to heaven. However, the parable of the sower and the parable of the sheep and goats show that in Jesus' view many who accept the gospel innitially, eventually give it up for various reasons, and some who retain an outward appearance of religion are spiritually dead.

Everyone, Christians and non-Christians will definitely go to hell.
Why?
Because hell is the grave, 6 feet under and everyone is 'deposited' there.
That includes the soul ....Ezekial 18:4.
Webster’s Third New International Dictionary, under “Hell” says: “from . . . helan to conceal.”
The word “hell” thus originally conveyed no thought of heat or torment but simply of a ‘covered over or concealed place.’
In the old English dialect the expression “helling potatoes” meant, not to roast them, but simply to place the potatoes in the ground or in a cellar.
This does not mean the end of everything, but that's another story.

Well you have two things to play with here.

First is ego. Nobody likes to say they are dammed. Even atheists who spend their whole lives insulting God and His followers won't say "I'm going to Hell." In fact they get really insulted if one points this out to them.

Second, well look at it this way. Most of the people who went down on the Titanic didn't know where the lifeboats were, or didn't know the ship was sinking till it was to late. There were a very few (mostly 1st and 2nd class men) who helped load the boats and then went back inside to wait drown, but most of the folks who drowned were 3rd class passengers who wern't allowed up on the boat deck or didn't know how to get there. In fact only two First Class women went down with the ship, and both of them by choice. (One gave up her seat in the boat, the other was looking for her baby and wouldn't leave the ship without her baby, but the baby had already gotten off with the maid in another boat.) I mean who stays on a sinking ship when they have the chance to get off? Makes sense right?

So think about it...if you KNOW what you have to do to be saved (recieve Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior) then you are probably going to do it so you don't go to Hell. It only makes sense right?

Now, if you were to ask "Christians, do you DESERVE to go to Hell?" you would be getting a very different answer.

I certianly DESERVE Hell. We all DESERVE to go to Hell. We have all done things that make us worthy of damnation. The whole point of Christianity though is that you DON'T get what you deserve. That is why Jesus came, died, and rose again. HE took OUR punishment ("by His stripes we are healed") so we don't have to go to Hell and we DON'T get what we deserve.

Which is why the Christians don't say they are going to Hell. They aren't, but not through their own efforts, because of what Jesus did for us.

The saying is "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."

BIG difference between the two, and yes we are aware of it.
