All Catholics speak directly to God. It is called Prayer. Sounds like you got frogged on a land deal in Nebraska. Not even Catholics are that dumb.

We believe, as do many others, that whenever anyone prays, he or she is speaking directly to God. I guess you meant to ask if God speaks directly to the Pope. Again, many people have felt that God has spoken directly to them once or twice during their lives. I guess that is one of the examples of the word epiphany...? If, on the other hand, you are referring to papal "infallability", then I suppose the answer would be "occasionally". But I suspect such pronouncements are more the result of mental agonizing and faith that God has guided on the particular issue. And VERY few papal pronouncements are considered to BE infallible.

By this I think you mean the pope has a sort of 1-800 number that the rest of us don't have which gives him special, direct access to God?
No. He doesn't have this. The pope is guided and taught by the same Holy Spirit that you and I are. He speaks to God the same and you and me: through prayer, and study of His Word.

Do the Pope speaks directly to God? Satan ultimate role would be to "act" as Jesus.
If the Pope will stop reading the man-made catechism, He might read the bible verse, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Matthew 14:6.
THE POPE IDENTIFIES HIMSELF AS "THE SWEET CHRIST ON EARTH."

Anyone who wants to can speak directly to God.
I'm not sure about the pope though. Some of the things that come out of the Vatican don't sound that inspired to me.

We all have that ability if we are in a state of grace. Jesus garanteed the power of the holy spirit in the teaching of faith and morals to his bride the church.

i don't know if it's a "direct line", but i do believe that he can be the most in touch with god if he guides people with morals and love, since so many listen to him, and live their lives according to his words and actions.

+ Talking to God +
Catholics believe that everyone can speak directly to God. This is called prayer.

+ The Pope +
John 21:15-17 states:
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep.
Matthew 16:17-19 states:
Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
The Catholic Church believes the Lord made Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the "rock" of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock.
The Pope is the senior pastor of 1.1 billion Catholics, the direct successor of Simon Peter.
