Hawaii

Hawaii and California are both romantic, and beautiful! But you'd better have alot of money to spend if you go to Hawaii. A big mac at McDonalds costs $20; EVERYTHING in Hawaii is way overpriced! California wine country would be a very beautiful and romantic destination for your honeymoon- and save you alot of money for all the bills your gonna have when you get back home!

hawaii would definitely would be romantic and a beautiful place to go for your honeymoon...but the reason that my husband and I did not choose hawaii is because there is soo much to do there and we did not want a tourist vacation. we wanted a vacation where we would relax and go out at night. So my choice would be the california wine country where I also think would be very romantic.

Definitely California Wine Country. Hawaii is very cliche and it is more of a vacation destination than a romantic get-a-way. Napa Valley offers many activities for couples such as, romantic balloon rides, private wine tastings, couples massages, and picnics. Their bed & breakfasts offer some of the most romantic accommodations in the world. I have been to Hawaii twice and I frequently visit Napa and Sonoma so for me, the choice is always wine country.

So many options! You have gotten some good suggestions already, so here are some things to think about. Would you be happy staying mainly at your resort and not exploring much beyond that, and eating at the same place (mainly) for your trip? Then go with the suggestion of Lana'i. Hana was suggested, but they don't have a lot of dining options, but it is secluded and beautiful. The Princeville area of Kauai might be a good choice for you. Beautiful scenery, lush tropical area, high end accommodations, plenty of dining options and not far from Lihue if you want to go somewhere else. Kauai is one of the least populated islands that still has dining and activity options.

Hawaii. It is much more special than wine country. Wine is for a weekend. Hawaii is for an event.

I think California Wine Country, it seems more personal and wine always gets the romance started. Hawaii seems more like a summer vacation, and more like a party beach place. Plus personally I would prefer to be on a honeymoon where everyone else had on there clothes instead of swimsuits so my significant other and I werent distracted by other people.
