I've been feeling down now for the past month really so went to the doctor thinking I have depression. We had a talk and she went through a screening quiz, she says I am not depressed but suffering from everyday ups and downs that people get sometimes.

I've done a couple of these online screening tests myself today and they all say i'm not suffering from depression. I mean i don't have any of the symptoms etc just feel fed up in general.

I don't feel down all the time but it comes at least once aday. Is it just the time of year or what?

I'm surprised your doctor didn't take you more seriously when you told her this. Shame on her! If you continue feeling sad and hopeless, please seek the help of a psychiatrist instead (this is a medical doctor who specializes in mood disorders). If you only feel down in the winter, for example, you may have seasonal affective disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasonal_affective_disorder). There is medication that can help you feel better. Best of luck!

I think you might have seasonal stress disorder.Believe it or not alot of people get depressed this time of year because of lack of sunlight.I know I do.Not so much anymore because I bought one of those lamps that replicates natural sunlight. My mood seems better even on grey and dingy days. It's something to consider. If your lows continue though, I would see another doctor who is trained in diagnosing depression or the constant blues.Hang in there.Things WILL get better with the right treatment.

check self esteem, anything thats happened lately to upset you then you can also check out hypoglycemia that causes depressed feelings but dont give up if you dont feel good dont settle for less then total wellness good luck. There is also pyroluria but i doubt that is it.
