i want to download limewire but is it any good and does it slow down your computer??

Some facts. It's not illegal.
Installing and using P2P software is not against the law. Yes, most of them are chock full of spyware (not viruses or trojans) but ones like Shareaza do exist that are safe to use.
The only thing illegal about P2P software is what you do with it. Its downloading copyrighted material thats illegal, not installing a piece of software. They do have legitmate purposes as a file sharing tool.
So, in summary, Limewire is full of crap, and it will slow down your computer. Get Shareza from www.shareaza.com, which is better and won't slow down your PC. Don't do anything against the law with it and you'll be fine.

you can download limewire at www.limewire.com. its rally goo p2p file sharing program.
it does not slow down the computer speed.
instead it uses the bandwidth, which slow down the transfer rate of web pages, only if somthing is being downloaded by the limewire.
you can also adjust the amount of bandwidth to be use by the limewire.
steps :
go to > tools >option
left side click on >download
right side at bottem ,you will find bandwidth slider , which is set to 100%
>set accordingly (30-50%)
you hav done
but be care full, download only those items which has licence or use filter in tools option. be sure u have updated anti virus installed on pc.

First of All...LIMEWIRE is hard spyware...it will demolish your computer system. My humble request NOT TO USE THIS SOFTWARE AT ALL.....
Better to use Bittorrent software or more beter buy a affordable CD/DVD.

I absolutely do not recommend it. It is bundled with adware/spyware and it needs that to operate. It will also slow down your computer.
If you need a P2P program, Shareaza is the way to go. It is free and has no unsafe additional software. You can search for it by name

Oh so you want to steal copyrighted materials? Of course it will slow you down with Worms/Virus/Trojans and a whole lot of nasty other things you really do not need.
