Why was MS guitly for monopolizing the market because IE was shipped by default even though users can still install other internet browsers of their choices at their willing (ie, users have choices), but Apple is not monopolizing the market given that you can only buy music online through Apple's iTunes Music Store, but you can still rip CDs and transfer files into iPOD (ie, by default you have to buy music from Apple, but you still have choices to put music from other CD onto the device)?

Microsoft owns the IE program and Apple does not own the music....to put it simply. Apple only makes it available to you. Microsoft forced you to download their IE whether you wanted it or not. Apple gives you a choice. Also having only 4 or 5% of the market does not make Apple a monopoly.

No, Microsoft isn't a monopoly. not purely is Apple a good competitor, yet Linux is on the upward push. Plus contained in the wider international of all computers (not basically your Intel computers) there are different operating platforms and different software made with information from an excellent type of software vendors. in spite of the different poster's fact, Wal-Mart isn't a monopoly both. not even close. In a loose marketplace equipment, you somewhat won't be able to often have a monopoly with no need authorities help you -- basically, authorities-run semi-businesses (like Fannie Mae) or heavily regulated industries (like skill organizations) are the nearest issues we presently ought to monopolies.
