Heat is heat but electric isn't a flame. Gas produces a constant heat where an electric can vary with outside temp change when you open and close the door along with what( the mass) you put in the oven, the kickback of temp takes longer with the electric

I used to only cook on a natural gas stove about 9 yrs ago and loved it. Then I relocated and had to use an electric oven. It took a little getting used to, but now I would rather cook on and in an electric range. I feel that gas cooks to quick. Like I said, it takes getting used to, but its worth it.

Personally, I like electric. Only because I grew up with electric ovens. I knew exactly where to put the pans, how long the broiler took, everything. Of course professionally I've had to use gas, and I seemed to screw up so many things. I still haven't gotten the hang of it like I know how to use electric.

My vote is for Gas. Last longer, fast heating, better heating control. If power goes out you can still use. Plus a added feature is Gas is cheaper than Electric to operate.

I definitely prefer gas. You can control the flame better and quicker than electric. When you turn down the heat on electric it takes a while and when you turn off the heat it doesn't cool off quickly. I have electric and am always burning food if I don't pay attenton.
