At what point does vanity become a sin?

In my opinion, personal hygiene is necessary, but when you get to a point where your vanity overtakes your life and affects others, that's when it is wrong. What do others think?

Sin is an outdated concept. Taking pride in yourself is a good thing. It is not bad unless that's the only thing you value.

You have to value yourself before you can really help others. If you don't believe you can do anything good, you won't have much to offer.
