I live in Turkey, Istanbul. And yes of corz I think about my country in a political way. And Istanbul..On Y!A some foreign people ask about here so that times I have to think about it :-)

Most Americans don't think much about Turkey, or Istanbul / Constantinople / Byzantium.

Unfortunately, most Americans do not think that they are welcome in Turkey, because we only hear about bad things that happen there. On the other hand, I'm betting that people in Turkey only hear about bad things that happen here in the USA.

Turkey's okay..if you cook it right. I've never tried istanbul.
