Hi Alexander - you have alot of good answers here, with the exception of a few that shouldn't have wasted their time. I was in a similar situation once. At the point where I wondered if the relationship was becoming unhealthy, my heart and head were not in agreement. My head was telling Me to end it, before it meant someone would get hurt, and my heart was telling Me, it will get better, things will change, stick it out. I have since learned, that our hearts are looking for things to turn out well, that we will find happiness. Our heads however, tend to see the whole picture. It didn't take to long for my head and my heart to agree, and it was time to move on. Who knows, maybe when your heart and head agree, it may be to stick it out. What ever you decide to do, do it for you, what is right for you. Even if you decide to get out, prepare to still hurt, for breakups are never easy no matter who makes the decision. Good Luck.

The time to break up is when:
1. You feel that you want out;
2. You feel that your partner wants more than you're prepared to give;
3. You feel trapped;
4. You can't communicate;
5. You don't really have very much in common except for fantastic sex!
6. Lack of trust on either side;
7. Jealousy - this can cause serious problems in the future.
Hope this helps. There are probably loads more reasons. Good luck!

When there is constant arguing, you can't agree on anything, and you don't want to be around this person. But, before doing anything take a break away to look at the big picture. Ask your self if you ready for this commitment to be over and if you can live your life without this person. Most of all, this is your life, don't live it unhappy! Best of Luck!

Succinctly, it is when the relationship tears you down as a person. Signs of this are when that person makes you feel diminished.
This is where it gets complex. Realistically, no one makes you feel any particular way. We choose our emotional states, appropriate or not. A person needs not be abused to feel abused. Be aware of that distinction. Look inward first. Decide if your emotional reactions are really appropriate.

Well if the person you are involved with starts wearing hand grenades off of their shoulders or starts carring a gun or knife or has a pet viper in a box they carry around when they are with you I'd sit up and take notice ,,,,, Something just might be up which indicates that your health and well being is in peril ,,,,

When it becomes verbally and/or emotionally and/or physically abusive....get out. It's then an unhealthy situation. Also, to add, if either of you fall out of love.

When your have more bad times(arguments) than good times(spend time cuddling, going out). if you are not happy and this relationship is causing you to be stressed its time to move on.
