I have mousey brown/blonde kind of hair. I'd like highlights but I don't really want the roots to show as my hair grows. Would it be better to just ask for them only on the hairs underneath or not to bother at all?

The rule with highlights is, if your hair is dark, get highlights a few shades lighter, and if you're blond, get a few shades darker. Don't get really light blonde highlights if you have really dark hair. The point is to make your hair look naturally highlighted by the sun. I'm guess you can go either way, but are you sure your hair isn't naturally highlighted, since you say you have 'brown/blonde kind of hair'?
If the highlights are only a few shades different, you most likely wont notice when your roots are coming in.

If I were in your position I would have foiled highlights so the highlights are as thick or as fine as you like. If you have them just under/below your parting you won't get as much regrowth. I have recently done a friends hair with blonde and brown alternate highlights using this method on her natural mousey hair - the results were fab. Also using this method you can have as many or as little highlights as you like. Hope this helps and hope you like you new look! :-)

The best thing to do is to dye the hair on the bottom layer a darker shade than your hair. This then looks like you've had the top dyed, without any roots showing.

Get a few different colours put threw your hair that way the regrowth will be less obvious and i love the name but if your God how comes you can't use your powers and do your own highlights that never grow out?

i have dark colour hair. I like colouring my hair. It almost every year i change my new hair style, both my hair cut and my hair colour.

Hair is one of the most important things for women, so before you change your hair look, please take a look some references in magazines or television about the latest hair cut. You have to adapt this model with your personality also. Whether you are a sporty women or you are a feminine women.

and about your planning to colour your hair it is a good idea! you may choose different colour from your real colour hair. Warm chesnut, maghony, or burgundy are also intersting. It will make you looks so different than your appearance before.

Colouring the hair means colouring your days, right!

My daughter has almost the same hair color and she got highlights all over her head and it looks get. She goes back to the shop ever so often to get them done again. I do not see her roots when she gets hers done. I do my myself but i like the dark roots to show on mine. This advice i can offer. Find one hairsylist to do your hair and when you need it done again go back to her or him cause they will do it the same way ever time. If you do it yourself you will have the root thing.

get the easy meche and tell them you want a brown and 2 light blonde shades the will blend in nicely when your roots grow back. but you will still need to maintain them. its a good idea to do it for the spring/summer it will brighten you up.

To enhance just have a few of the colour that won`t show too much when it eventually grows out.
