I named my first "jack" cause he jumped like a "jack in the box"
my second , I watched for a while
and then named him "amiego"..or "mego"
he is my friend.....and bonded with me..
been with me 24 years......out-lived the husband, mother, mother-in-law, ...
it is a good name for him.............
will be celebrating a 25th anniversary with him..next year......
he is a real character.....just this year..I went out for a bit..and he didn't hear me come home and was singing Christmas carols
"Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly"
he loves the fa-la-la-la 's
so enjoy the bird...and plan a long life together..

Me too - I named him Rufus. He is so cute now - he recognises his name. When he is being naughty - i call out Rufus and he looks at me. Good luck with him. They are great pets and give you so much love, but only if you have give them lots of love and quality time. Remember to take him out of his cage at night - especially if you are working or going to school during the day.

What about Nico
I think this would be great name and remember your parrot has his name for a long time so it needs to suit his character.

Call it "Shut the F up" because that's what you will be yelling at the bird in a month or so.
