Wow out of the mouth of babes!
Kids can ask awarded questions and that is how they learn. Think we all know that the 10 commandments should be followed but sadly are not. Hence, the pickle society is in.
I am not a Christian per say (although I was raised a Catholic, I do not attend church) and I do not believe in one man/women whom as all the power however, I do believe myself to be a good person. I would go out of my way to help others and regular do.
I think society needs rules and the 10 Commandments are a great to place to start. When people chose to break the laws then they should be given a punishment fitting to the crime. This should be pointed out to the child. With a few examples as I did with my children.

God's purpose of forgiving us all our sins is to give us His righteousness (2 Cor 5:21). Once you know Jesus you live under grace and truth and not under the Ten Commandments (John 1:17 & Rom 10:4). Since God has made you righteous He expects you live live righteously to bless others so that He can give you an abundant life on earth and rewards in heaven. This is a very good deal do not miss it.

If there are no laws in society, imagine what the world would be like. People are afraid to take a walk alone now or that their children are going to be safe at school. What do you think the world would be like without laws or the ten commandments. That's why God's biggest commandment is to Love one another like ones self.

Follow the 10 commandments because they are guidlines for the common good, and help society keep healthy. We all break them some time in our lives. Can you think of a better set of guidlines?

We are only forgiven if we accept the free gift of Jesus...the salvation He provided for us, thereby making Him our Lord and Savior.
Obedience is out of love. One who does what they want and expects forgiveness, more than likely doesn't have that love relationship.
Yeah, we all mess up (sin), but those who are Christians experience guilt and ask forgiveness. They also turn from their ways (not doing the same thing repeatedly).

yes it does matter what we do,you have to live with whatever you do in your life.whatever you do you have on your own conscience.I guess some people don't have morals and they feel they don't care when others are hurt by there actions but I couldn't do that. if the lord was all forgiving how can there be hell?I guess you have to decide for yourself if the risk is worth taking for something you want.I can't really remember all commandments but my faves are doubt commit adultery and love thy neighbour cause they are the 2 I try and stick to. My sins are i smoke and drink,ah but doesn't everyone have a vice?or maybe I'll get sent to hell for that......

Who says that all our sin are forgiven. Outside salvation through the Blood of Christ there is no forgiveness. When a person gives their heart to the Lord He recreates in us a new heart that doesn't wish to sin anymore... I want to please my Lord in every way. I have no desire to sin. When I am freed from this body of death my sinful days will be over.... Jim

He's all forgiving only to those that accept Christ as their personal Savior. (John 3:3 Jesus told Nicodemus ''I assure you, unless you are born again, you will not enter the Kingdom of God') Faith, not good deeds gains entrance to Heaven. After one is saved,God expects good deeds. Religions have it backwards.

None, I don't want to spend time in jail?
I don't know much about the god angle but
Most of the commandants are also illegal if I'm not mistaken.
Besides doing bad things is just doesn't help me be happy with my life.

I think it's a case of morality. The better we are as a society, the less God has to forgive us for. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" kind of thing.
As for breaking any of the commandments, I don't think I would, conscientiously. I just try to live a peaceful, healthy, and happy life doing what I feel is right for me and mine.
