I am a Christian and am fully aware of the gifts of the Spirit. I am not saying that I am pschic. It seems that on a some what regualr basis things that I feel in my spirit have come to pass. What do I do? How do I handle this or is it all coincidence? I am not nor ever have been involved in the occult. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul.

If God reveals to you a thing and it comes to pass you seem to have a gift. You should weigh all these with the word and you have the Holy Spirit to guide you. You do with it as God leads you to do.Pray and continue your walk with God he is the one who will anwser your questions through his word and prayer and meditation.

Discerning of spirits is the ability to see into the spirit realm. It operates differently for different people. A Pastor friend of mine sees human spirits in various shades of black & white, which lets him know if the person is open & receptive or closed & rebellious.
Another friend of mine sees angels, while yet someone else I know sees demonic spirits.
Discerning of spirits can also see "behind" the source of something to determine whether it is what it claims to be or not.
The above is a supernatural ability.
To BE discerning is simply having a good mind that processes things clearly, logically & in an understanding way. This is not anything supernatural, but more of an aspect of wisdom.

A discerning ( being able to see what is unclear or obvious)
spirit simply means you study and study until you can see the gospel as clear as day where a non-believer has to be taught and nutured and convinced . Faith is the substance of things hoped for the EVIDENCE of things not seen.
As true Christians we have to (discern) be able to see false doctrines / teachers and resist. Gal. 1:8-12
How does the Holy Spirit communicate....by means of words that are either heard by the ears or seen with the eyes. 1 Tim.4:1
The Spirit SPOKE PLAINLY (was easily understood, not rambling)
This was through selected and inspired disciples 1 Cor. 2:10-13
Today we believe that the Spirit is in precisely in the same sense that GOD, the Father and Christ the Son is in us 1 John 4:15;
Col. 1:27;
1Cor. 3:16
We know that the Father is not literally and actually in our bodies. We understand this dwelling in us means that God's will influences and dominates our lives. through His word. Eph.2:22

If you truly think you have that gift of the Spirit, then you need to develop it, learn from it and most of all, never EVER abuse it, or God will take it from you (remember the 10 talents story!)

Go to church and when someone starts speaking in tongues, if it sounds like English to you you're good to go.
I doubt it will sound like English though.
