Neither. God doesn't exist.

Both are very important.
Romans 5:8 says "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

God loved us first. He created us out of His love and desire to have fellowship with us. His love came first. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."

God desires us to love Him back. He is kind, gracious and merciful, why wouldn't anyone want to love such a wonderful Father? I do!

Well, since He is more powerful, its tempting to say His love for us. I would also say that because His love is the strongest thing I've ever felt in my life. He loved us before we even existed, so I would say His love was first.

38:For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39:neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

This is right up there with John 3:16 on my list. We are unseperable from the love in Jesus. While our love for God saves us, it would be nothing if He didn't love us first.

Sorry it took so long. It has been a long day hehe.

The first and greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, mind, and soul. It is not an option, but is considered a command of the Lord. that way is more important our love for God.

In today's society, I believe that our love for God is more important to us, that it helps us get through the day easier. Faith can go a long way in changing people's lives, even if they turn out not to be religious in nature, and I think at one point in our lives, everyone has at one stage used faith to order to understand something, use the belief of God to better their lives and even turned their back on God because of a bad event.
Humans feel more at ease with their ideas about what they grew up learning as a child, and feel secure with that through their lives, so by loving God, people don't feel the need to question every action in life. For God loving us, I personally don't believe that is more important to any of us, because the Bible itself is full of God being vengeful, disapproving of sin, when there isn't anything in the world we can do that isn't a sin these days. Through our need for God to love us or us to love God more, I believe we feel loving God is more important to our every day lives.

It doesn't matter which one comes first. God's love for me would only make me love him back. It would be the same, if I loved god he would love me back. What matters is how much love there is.

His love has to be more important, because he constantly forgives us all the time. Without his love we would not be able to be who we are today.

Even when we are in error, he continues to shower his love upon us by providing us with the air, water and food that we need to breath to keep us alive.

He provides us with the emotion, the consciousness and guilt that we use to ask for forgiveness from Him.

He also allows us to follow any path we choose to and still never takes anything from us in the form of revenge.

all this cannot be possible without His love for us, He doesn't demand our love back, that is our choice which is evident from the many unbelievers we have in this world. The unbelievers in God still continue to enjoy their life in this world, they are not inflicted or wronged by him just because they choose not to love Him back.

Our love for God on the other hand is beneficial only for ourselves. He is far beyond the 'need' for our love and prayers, He doesn't need our love to love us back. This is the uniqueness of God for how is it possible for a creator of love to need to love?

God's love for us is more important. Simply because He can cause anything He desires happen to us but we can't do anything to Him because He's omnipotent and omniscient. That's kind of like asking if a baby's love for its mother is more important than the mother's love for her baby.

The answer is simple: our love for god.

god doesnt need our love. he already knows that the majority of the world is full of sin and condemned to hell. why does god need to love us more then what we need to love him. he gave us the right to live, not the other way around. for all im concerned, i dont care myself and the majority of the world is due to flames becuase of the ignorance in people. hell is infinitive but heaven only has enough room for so little... so we should be the ones proving our love for god. geesh, im a sinner and i figured that out. maybe u need to get help. i sugest praying and attending services more. hyprocrite

The LOVE of the One True God is pre-existent. All things derive from His love.
Man has to learn from the Divine messengers to know the One True God before he can thankfully love Him. Otherwise, he doubts, he hates, he suffers.

1 John 4:7-12 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested to us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at anytime. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

1 John 4:19 We love because He first loved us.

Love is of God for God is love. God first loved us.
