God no.
Looking back, it all seems so easy.
But don't you remember how horrible it was?
No thanks.

I'd like to be seventeen again, but with the knowledge I have now. I'm glad I grew up in that time frame though, the 70's and 80's were good years.

HELLO!
Yell! Tell me about that one. I would do everything different. First thing I would do would be run away from home. It's what we make it though. But I was naive and didn't know much. I though everyone was beat up going though life by the one that supposedly love you. I love the other things about growing up and spend a lot of time by myself and walking in the woods on our farm. Too bad my dad died when I was six because I know he would have protected me. I love everything about those day except the abuse but then in those days it was different then it is now. At least now you can go to someone for help and they have laws in place to protect children.
Have a good life and stop dreaming about living life over. We must go forward and make life good now for us and other people now. Just be the best person you can be now. Happy living.

No way, I am 36 and I love it. I am married, a teacher and it is so much better than when I had to listen to my parents. Think curfews and all that. Things are better now. Maybe we have more to worry about now, but try and remeber how bad it was waiting for "that" guy to call you. It was tortue.

the problem is our memory is geared toward remembering the good stuff and forgetting the bad stuff. But after careful consideration, no, I would not go back for all the money in the world.
The peer pressure, the uncertainty, the awkwardness, the wondering where I'll fit in, the lack of money and power, the hormones, the girls dating older men, the complete waste of time that we call 'education', no thanks, I like it where I am right now.

Yes...life was so good and easy- no bills, no commitments...the biggest dilemma was who you were going to the prom with. There was so much to look forward to...graduation, college, new relationships... I thought that being older would solve all my problems then, but now with hindsight, I miss those simplistic days.

Would rather be 23 but yes I miss my youth and I'm only 29. :(
But I'm idealistic and we were never supposed to age.

Just some parts of it, like you said - no major responsibilities or dramas, just the ole zits & crushes....
But I am wiser now, better in many ways.
