If i lower my calorie intake by 500 calories or 1000 calroies, will my body go into mini starvation mode? Will it lower my metabolism a little? Or is like starvation mode like a switch? You can lower your calorie intake as much without disrupting your metaolism speed until you go too far? Please tell me

That would depend on what your DAILY calorie intake is normally. Post your question again with more info. As it stands, it's a silly question.

I am only about 30 lbs overweight and the trainer at the gym told me I need to lower my calorie intake by 500 and then burn about 500 a day through exercises. Your body will only go into starvation mode when you DONT feed it. Eat 5-6 smaller meals a day. Limit the sweets, breads and "junk food" A big "diet" in Texas right now is the "Before, During, and After" diet. All it is is you drink an 8 ounce glass of water BEFORE your meal, During your meal and AFTER your meal. This will help you eat less as well as clean out toxins from your body. Good luck loosing the weight, I'm right there with you.

If you are big then you'r body won't do that because it knows it has extra to spare (500) If you drop 1000 calorie immediately, unless you have really strong willpower, you will. Only way to lose weight is to burn more calories then you ingest!!

Good Job and Good Luck
